Hi! If you happen to have stumbled upon this blog, then you’re likely to be a first time parent, someone who is about to be, or someone who is just plain nosy. Well, here’s the good news, you’re all welcome here at not the main character!
Not the main character is an honest blog, with all things parenting! You may be thinking “who the hell are you to be qualified to talk all things parenting?!”. Well, I’ll tell you. I’m not qualified. I am simply here to create a platform for parents like myself who are winging it. And not just with parenting. I will share all the failures and successes of the world of parenting, including everything in between (like mental health, owning your own business and the cost of living crisis) and hopefully you will feel comforted in the fact that we’re all suffering together. Speaking of suffering, I will now tell you about me. I am a 25 year old FTM (First time mum!) to a little boy who was born prematurely in July. I am a full-time student at the university of Hull studying graphic design, and I also own my own business. I created this blog, because I feel that when I had my little boy, no one actually told me what to expect and the truth on how difficult parenting can be. If even one person reads this and feels less like they’re alone in this, it will be worthwhile. I hope you enjoy!
