For this task, we were told to sell something in a box, producing six renders of the finished product and a turn table feature.
From the description of this task it reminded me of the viral scene from the 2013 film ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ (The Wolf of Wall Street, 2013). In the scene, main character Jordan Belfort (Played by Leonardo DiCaprio) asks the group to sell him a pen, to prove their capabilities of selling on the stock market. Since this film was released it has become a common question in interviews to test a persons ability to sell.
According to Sharon Murnaghan (Solutions partner at HubSpot), the best way to answer this question is to find a problem that the market faces and use that product as a solution (Murnaghan S., 2022).
With this in mind, I thought about what problems the person asking faces and what product could solve this. In previous classes, Dan had mentioned his frustrations on how the keyboard shortcuts are different in Adobe programs, even though they are all under the Adobe Creative Cloud. Identifying this as the problem, I decided to sell in the box a program that makes all the shortcuts the same across adobe platforms.

Brand Name and Logo:
For the brand name I decided to play on the CTRL ALT DELETE wording but change the last word to combine, referencing both to keyboard shortcuts (with CTRL ALT DELETE being one of the most recognised) and referencing that the shortcuts will be combined using the program. I decided to keep the logo simple, using rounded rectangles, again referencing to the look of a keyboard.
Brand Colours:
Because this product is related to technology, I used the colour blue, as it is often used to represent technology and also symbolises power and success (DeSantis Breindel, N.d).

For this task, I took 7 renders and 2 videos of my product and used them to create a short advert for my product. for the first images, I used a fuzzy background to represent the confusion/stress of having to use different shortcuts for every program. With the images I then added them to music (licensed through Adobe Stock) and had them change in time with the music.
