Use of Colour:
For use of colour, I ensured that I used the colour as a noun, so blue is water, green is land for my render of earth. I also used a texture that had varying shades for each to try and represent depth and give the Earth a more life-like look. I decided to use a brighter green and blue, to signify that Earth was the main focus point for this part of my animation.

Small Multiples Encourage Comparison:
For this principle of Tufte’s theories, I ensured all the planets were spherical with differences in the texture. This allows the viewer to recognise it as our solar system. I have also kept in mind layering for this as quite often planets will overlap each other in my animation.

Narratives of Space and Time:
For my animation, I ensured it had a start, a middle and an end, to ensure it stayed logical.

Layering and Separation:
For this principle I ensure that I kept the layering of the tank in relation to the solar system logical throughout, only revealing the tank when it zoomed out.

Micro/ Macro Readings:
I used micro/ macro readings principle by having it appear as just a simple solar system in one view, and appearing as a shop in another.
